Corporate Governance
The first campus entities were established at the University of Pretoria in 2000, following a strategic decision to develop a formal structure to organise the University’s interaction with the private sector and government.
This ensured that the external consulting, commercial research and continuing education activities could be managed from a business foundation to also generate additional income for the University and its personnel.
In January 2008, Enterprises at University of Pretoria Trust (E at UP) was formally founded and became operational as the official corporate holding entity for the Group of Campus Enterprises.
The University of Pretoria is the sole beneficiary of Enterprises at University of Pretoria Trust.
